"I wanna wake up in a city, that doesnt sleep..." Frank Sinatra

WARNING: LOOOOTS OF PICTURES!
PLEASE GO HERE TO READ THIS BLOG.
AND CHECK OUT MY NEW DESIGN BY SHARON at REDBUD DESIGNS!!!

Girls Weekend 2009 - New York style!
Right to Left: April, me, Mom, Aunt Kim, Emmy, Jennifer and LaurieAnn.
Of course there was lots of eating involved on this trip.
One of my favorite places was Penelope (picture above):
1.) Because that's a nick name my family gave me a long time ago
2.) I love breakfast
3.) Because the restaurant was named after the owner's pet turtle
4.) Because they served "soysage" and "fakin' bacon"
There was this dessert place called Max Brenner...yes please.
You can see the elation on my face in this picture about how excited I was about dessert!
Wahahaha! This is us walking across the Brooklyn Bridge.
This is the Brooklyn Bridge at sunset.
The city skyline looked amazing as we were walking across.
This is a picture of us holding our poor, bruised and battered feet after we ran 10 blocks because of wrong directions (not Tom Tom's fault).
Wicked was AMAZING.
I think if I go back to NYC I want to stay at the Waldorf again, eat at lots more yummy places and watch like 10 shows!
This was my favorite NYC shot!
(It was totally my idea and after we got everyone walking in one direction at the same time, obviously it turned out to be a good idea!)

April had a GREAT idea to have a professional photographer come and take pictures of us the night we were all dressed up for Wicked on Broadway.
FAB idea sis :)
I love this picture of mom.
She is having such a good time.
Sister love.
April secretly loves me even though I drive her crazy.
All. The. Time.
Outside the Waldorf.
We had such a wonderful time!
I honestly would go anywhere with these girls....they make life FUN!

Fairness and Justice

Generally speaking, I am usually the Pig in this comic.
However today, I choose to be the Goat.
Absurdity.
More bloggeriffic things about NYC at a later time today...
Just needed to share this.

The Met

We're visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art today!
Very exciting!!
I've learned a few things here...
1.) Egyptians are concerned with death
2.) Romans/Greeks are consumed with themselves (LOTS of naked self portraits)
3.) We (as a people) don't produce art (or anything for that matter) like we used to. Originality and detail is a lost art.
4.) Our group of girls is CLEARLY not mature enough to handle the Greek sculpture's anatomy.

It's been a great afternoon for the Met.
Now, off to Tavern on the Green!
It's a BEAUTIFUL day for Central Park!! :)
Have you ever been to NYC?
Is there something I've missed that I need to see??

Papparazzi

This is a pic of the papparazzi waiting to take pictures of Brooke Burke.
I feel so bad for these people.
She just wanted to buy food at the grocery store.
Can you IMAGINE going to the grocery store with 10 camera's in your face?
I mean, the way I usually look when I roll out for the grocery store is definitely not high style.

Now...by no means should we call Amy a hypocrite because I semi stalked/freaked out/took a picture with my cell phone hiding behind a pyramid of pots in Williams Sonoma of Jennifer Garner.
Because that is completely different.

Which famous person would you flip out about if you saw them reaching for the same box of cereal as you were in your grocery store?

I love this!

I have a few things to say about this video...

1.) I totally stole this from my friend Christen (she has a rad name)
2.) This is HILARIOUS
3.) Please watch the whole thing
4.) Major shout out for White Boy
4.) Will someone PLEASE tell me which unit this was filmed at?!
P-L-E-A-S-E!

Stimulus

Dear LowerMyBills.com,
Will you please explain to me how...
A picture girl doing a sit up coincides with Obama's stimulus bill?
Because apparently they go together seeing as though you popped this up on my computer as an advertisement.
I abhor advertisements (almost as much as I abhor Paula Abdul).
I wish we had DVR's for the internet.
I want to look at what I want to look at.
I do not want to watch/read/look at your silly advertisement.
Or a sweaty girl doing a sit up.
Thank you for not invading my life ever again.
Sincerely,
Amy

I have a problem...

I start books.
But I can't finish them.
I am currently "reading" 9 books.
I'm on chapters: 4, 3, 1, second to last, middle, 1, 2, preface, last (respectively from picture above - top to bottom)
Why can't I finish one before I move on to another?
Does anyone else have this problem??
I've heard if I read the Twilight books that I won't have this problem.
One of my friends said she has neglected her house and kids for 3 days straight because she's trying to finish Twilight!
She said, "I just want to finish so that I can have my life back!"
Maybe I need to read books like that.
